In my humble opinion, this is one of the best pieces of your Gallery, man. I was taking a detailed look at all your pieces after I answered your last comment, about style, colors, and how these things match together in a certain style or kind of work... and I really think that this piece is one where you got a real right shot. I think everything here is amazing, from the lines to the colors- I could say a perfect mix! :woohoo:

wow thanks!!!
i think that the colors are a little bit washed out in this one,i would re-paint this one with more vivid colors one day ç_ç
Anyway is one of the few work that i can say "wow i like the compositions this time!"

i'm always a lot unsatisfied about my pieces ç_ç

XD

Yeah, I think this is part of an artist's life to be unsatisfied about drawing, hehe. I'm never happy with my work... There are just a few ones that I consider I gave a good shot. I think this is a pain I'll have to deal with forever :tears:

I really don't think the colors are washed, you know? I really like vivid colors and the way that certain artists can use them without "frying" viewer's eyes, but they always look at the color composition and work pro of it, instead only thinking about the color itself- maybe this is why I can't do it right now, I need to train my eyes to see the comps more than the colors isolated- But my point is that the contrasts are perfect on this one: if you desaturate this pic on photoshop and minimize it, it doesn't become just a messy image. I don't know if i explained it well, but anyways... =D

oh!i've tryied to desaturate the image!and yea also in B/W it looks not bad!
i never do these kind of tries on my works!u gave me a real good tip!

I always color my pieces with PS.This is one of the few works i've painted with Sai.
And i think i should use Sai more often to paint. The brushes are simply awesome *_*

I learnt this little trick with a friend that works as a classic painter... he told me that since we commonly work directly with colors, this could be a good "cheat" to constantly check the contrast of the image in order to avoid flat pieces. It is the same of a tonal study of the work, so, you can see where it's lack of contrast or so. I used to work a lot with the hues, but now with the tones and values, and it helped me a lot, since it gave me more control over my final work. =D

I always use PS for everything, it really rare for me to make something on SAI, since i don't know how to use it effectively. but i saw that lots of people prefer to use it to make lines, so I'm inclined to learn how to work well with it. About the brushes, I don't think it's a real problem, since you can download some cool brushes on the net, and I commonly do my own on photoshop, so i really don't have tough times with it =D

Oh,Sai don't have "special" brushes, maybe i explained badly this thing. When i said Awesome Brushes,i was mean that the brushes have a very nice color blending, then u dont have to push "alt alt alt alt alt alt alt" to blend the colors like in Ps XD

Oh, yeah, I got it! I understand, it's a great resource of SAI... I really hate sometimes when i have to push "alt alt alt alt alt", just like you said, haha! Also, Sai has other great resources that PS doesn't have, like the inks, that I think are far more complete in SAI. But I'm still a noob at SAI. :-(

(I added you on MSN, but you don't appear online... did you receive my invite or did I do something wrong???)
